Spring is well underway and summer is around the corner, yasss! This means time to store away those sweaters and get out your sandals. It also means that your skin will be even more exposed to the sun and its powerful rays. So how should you transition your skincare and health habits in these warmer months?
We reached out to two experts in the fields of fitness and nutrition to share their advice on this subject. Achieving great skin starts from within, what you eat and your dietary habits play a key role in any successful skin care routine. Additionally, staying in shape keeps skin firm while also giving your body a chance to sweat out toxins.
So let’s hear from the experts in their own words. Take notes and get ready for summer!

In the spring and summer months I try to keep my skin hydrated since I am constantly outside and in the sun. I start my mornings with Olivella moisturizer cream on my face because I love how hydrating it feels, yet it is light enough to put under makeup with SPF for even application. At night I like to use the body oil all over and find it most hydrating on my skin after sun exposure to prevent dry skin.

As the seasons change, so does my skincare routine. During the spring and summer months, I switch from a face moisturizer to a light serum and use lighter weight make-up, if any at all, to prevent build-up in my pores. I also always use a sunscreen with SPF of 30 or higher to protect my skin, even on gloomy days. But the #1 things I do for my skin are eat nutritious foods and stay hydrated! Spring and summer are the perfect time to stock up on fresh, in-season produce that contain skin-enhancing vitamins and minerals!
