1. TEA TREE
Tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia), containing terpinen-4-ol, is known to kill certain bacterial, viruses and fungi. When diffused, it boosts immunity, fights infections and reduces anxiety. We love to use it on our skin as an alternative to chemical based cleansers and in our homemade cleaning products recipes, as it sanitizes surfaces.
2. YLANG YLANG
This exotic flower (Cananga odorata) is largely used in aromatherapy to soothe stress and anxiety. Plus, it is perfect for relaxing massages. In skincare, it is used to balance skin oil production and calming any irritation.
3. PEPPERMINT
With its cool, invigorating and refreshing scent, peppermint (Mentha piperita) is a must have to relieve tension. You can apply it on your temples in case of a headache or massage in on your muscles after a long run. We diffuse it in our Oliversity office whenever we need a boost of energy.
4. EUCALYPTUS
In these February colds, Eucaliptus Globulus is essential to help us breathe easy in case of cold or any other respiratory illness. We use it on our scalp as it strengthen and moisturize hair or diffuse few drops of it in a diffuser to enhance concentration.
5. SWEET ALMOND
One of the most popular essential oils, Prunus Dulcis is believed to enhance the ability to make decisions and develop memory. Rich in Omega 6, and 9, it can also heal superficial skin burns, boost collagen production, body circulation, and skin hydration.
